Our Message

Welcome to our Team's fundraising page for the Georgia 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer! Please donate to support us as we prepare to walk 30 miles in October.

Kansas Walkers For Knockers started in 2012 with the Avon Walk in Rocky Mts.  We then did Chicago, Washington DC (twice), Houston, Santa Barbara, and San Francisco.  After Avon discontinued, we found Georgia 2 Day in 2018.  We LOVE it.  This year's Georgia 2 Day Walk team is pretty special.  2 survivor moms and their kids.

Julie Biswell, Chase (age 20), and Camille (23) will be walking.  They are from Kansas. Chase was on Youth Crew in Santa Barbara 2016 and the youngest walker in 2017 San Fran.  Camille has walked Atlanta before and did the virtual walk with Julie in 2020.  Julie is a 16 year survivor of Stage 3 breat cancer.

Biswell's are being joined this year by Wendy Miller and her two son's Jackson and Davis.  They are from the DC area and were involved with Kids Crew and Walker for DC for many years before Wendy was diagnosed.  She is a 6 year survivor. Wendy always wanted to walk with her boys, but Avon stopped before this could happen.

Julie and Wendy met in 2014 when their son's were on Youth Crew.  (Wendy was kind enough to provide a sleeping bag for Connor, so we didn't have to pack and carry it on the airplane.)  Through Facebook, Wendy and Julie kept in touch and Wendy sponsored Julie's walks.

This year, the Millers and the Biswells will be taking on Atlanta. Even though we do not live in Georgia and their motto is 'what is raised in Georgia, stays in Georgia' - we still support their efforts, as many grants are funded and research is being done with the monies raised....which in turns helps everyone, regardless of where they live, out to have a world without breast cancer.

Thanks for your support,
